Edzell is a thriving community with approximately 700 inhabitants.  Despite its size it has a wealth of amenities to offer to both its residents and welcome visitors.  All of these are within walking distance of Oakbank. 

 

The village has two excellent hotels which offer a selection of services and meals.  Both have restaurants and pubs where bar meals are served.  Edzell also has a tea room, restaurant/cafe with take away chip shop and a bakery shop which sells hot/cold rolls or sandwiches.

Three shops sell a variety of groceries, baked goods and newspapers.

 

The local health centre with a doctor and a physiotherapist is just down the road, the chemist is downstairs.

 

The Post Office (stationery & local goods), Bank (Tue & Thu), Garage (repairs & petrol), Butcher, Tweed Warehouse (clothing, crafts & tearoom), Charity shop and two Hairdressers can all be found in the High street.

 

The Golf, Bowling and Country (indoor pool & fitness) Clubs welcome visitors and the swing park, bmx trail and exercise trail can be found near the church.
